BASIC GLASS BEADMAKINGThis class is designed for beginning students. Learn to create beautiful
glass beads at the torch. Basic beadmaking techniques will be covered
as well as a variety of decorative techniques including dots, feathering,
flowers, stringers, frit, twisted cane, and simple sculptural beads.
Take home dozens of colorful beads! Students that have completed this
class may participate in open torch hours. Wednesday

6-8:30PM ADVANCED FUSING TECHNIQUES AND SLUMPINGTake fusing and slumping to
the next level! Create imagery and learn new techniques with powders,
frit, enamels and metal inclusions. This is an opportunity to create
a special project of your own design with expert guidance. Prerequisite:
Basic Fusing. Wednesday Evenings: November

FUSING TECHNIQUES AND SLUMPING If you are new to fusing or if you have tried fusing glass and you
are hungry to learn more, this class is for you! Using simple slumping
techniques, students can transform flat fused glass into low bowls,
plates or reliefs. $150 includes basic materials for small projects.
Students may purchase glass for larger projects after the first day
of class. Wednesday Evenings: September
29, FUSED ORNAMENTS In this one-evening workshop students will design and
create fused ornaments using a variety of flat glass, stringers and
frits. Create fanciful and fun ornaments to hang on a tree or in a window.
Beginners are welcome! Two different evenings: BORO BASICS – BEYOND BEADS In this one-day intensive workshop
explore basic techniques for borosilicate glass including working with
tubing, pulling points, flares, bulbs and ring seals. With these techniques
students will create small goblets, vessels, or sculptural forms. Saturday, Oct. 16, 10 AM-4 PM ORNAMENTS AT THE TORCHCreate ornaments at the torch in this one-day
intensive workshop. Use borosilicate and soft glass to make solid and
hollow forms that will be decorated with murrine, frills, points, dots,
swirls and more! This is a great opportunity to learn some new hollow
and sculptural techniques from an expert glass artist. Saturday, Nov. 20, 10 AM-4 PM
